Frederic Sicre is a Global Senior Executive with 30 years of experience in strategic development and implementation in private and public institutions. He has a proven track record in business development, corporate positioning, public relations and building international strategic partnerships for political, economic and social  impact. Over the years Frederic has held senior positions with premier global institutions building, motivating and managing teams to excel. Having worked on every continent he has developed a vast array of networks at the highest level in business, governments and civil society. An excellent communicator, Fred's passion is to integrate new insights, values, purpose and execution to evolve corporate brands and leadership reputations in a rapidly changing and complex world. Earlier in his career Mr Sicre  spent 16 years at the World Economic Forum where he led the Center for Regional Strategies before being nominated Managing Director and Member of the Executive Board.  He was responsible for the World Economic Forum’s Strategy and Implementation around the world alongside major components of the Davos Annual Meeting including participation of Government Leaders.  He was called to work on major peace initiatives in Africa and the Middle East and worked with  Nelson Mandela, Frederik De Klerk, Shimon Peres, Yasser Arafat, King of Jordan, Gulf Royal Families, US / European governments and  global CEO’s of the world’s largest companies. Frederic  also spent 14 years as a Managing Director/ Partner of a $ 10 bn + global private equity firm focused on emerging markets. Having joined the firm nearly from inception he was responsible for creating and executing the company’s communications and public relations strategies aimed at  building  relationships around the world to support investor relations and deal flow. During this time he also conceived and managed the firm’s global partnerships in culture, innovation, youth and entrepreneurship. He led all stakeholder engagement initiatives working with over 70 regional and international organizations. He also represented the private equity industry in the elaboration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).   Mr Sicre recently concluded a 2 year mandate as Executive Advisor in the UAE Prime Minister’s Office. His key responsibility was to advise ministers on content and positioning of UAE Government outreach initiatives to the international community. He also spent time mentoring young Emirati Government employees on International Relations, The Global Agenda and how to engage with the private sector.   Frederic has sat on numerous corporate and not for profit global boards including Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, Dubai Cares, Education for Employment, Media Quest Publishing, Karachi Electric Company, United Nations Business for Peace.   He is a member of the World President’s Organization (YPO), Editor of “South Africa at Ten” – a book celebrating the country’s first decade into democracy and co-author of a forthcoming book “Agile Government”.   Frederic grew up in Geneva, Switzerland, holds an MBA from IMD in Switzerland, received a fellowship at Stanford University and obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from Villanova University in Philadelphia.

Sheikh Dr. Majid Sultan Al Qassimi

Sheikh Dr. Majid Sultan Al Qassimi qualified as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Saint Istvan University in Budapest, Hungary. He started his work as a veterinarian in the zoo and conservation field and moved into an administration role in 2013 as a Director to oversee the Terrestrial Biodiversity and conservation activities at the Environment Agency of Abu Dhabi. From 2015 to 2021 he was the Chief Veterinary Officer of the UAE and Advisor to 2 Minister regarding all things Food and Agriculture, at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, UAE. His work as a policy maker brought him to the center of Food Security, Sustainability and Biodiversity for the UAE and the Arab world, looking to create clear direction for the UAE and the Middle East on how technology, sustainable agriculture and traditional practices can create a food production revolution in the region. After Developing the Food Diversification strategy for the UAE with the Food and Agriculture Organization, Sh. Dr. Majid has the ability to see both a holistic "all of country" approach to Food Security, as well as dive down into specific technical subjects to navigate challenges and opportunities. He sits on multiple boards of Accreditation Authorities, UAE Food Safety Committee, and on multiple other Food, Animal and Agriculture Boards. He is a founding partner at SOMA MATER where he continues to develop Food Security and Sustainability strategies and solutions for private sector and governments. He has a keen interest in engaging the youth to further career choices in STEM subjects, and as one of the first veterinarians from his country, he plays a vital role in supporting veterinary education and awareness, through public speaking, advising the university curriculum.
